Why we re-scan every ninety days, not every month

A monthly check-in sounds attentive. It is mostly theatre.

Hydration and barrier respond quickly — three to four weeks of the right humectant and lipid and the readings move visibly. If those are your two lowest axes, you will feel the change before your next box.

Evenness and firmness do not work that way. A dark mark is melanin produced weeks before it surfaced, sitting in a layer that turns over roughly every forty days. Peptide signalling compounds slowly and quietly. Judged at thirty days, both look like failures. Judged at ninety, both are usually the biggest movers in the reading.

Ninety days is the interval where every axis has had a fair hearing. So that is when we ask you to scan again, and that is when your formula is allowed to change.
